Between 1946 and 1967 Fay Pomerance worked principally on her Theme of Lucifer series, culminating in a solo exhibition at Ben Uri Gallery in 1967 entitled The Sphere of Redemption Fay Pomerance - Exhibition of Paintings, Prints and Wood Carvings on a theme of Lucifer. She worked in a variety of media including gouache, watercolour, crayon, pastel, ripolin, tempera, lithography, mono-type and woodcarving. This gouache from 1959 is from midway through the series. Her acrylic and ink on fibreglass sphere is now in the Art Collection at the University of Durham.
