Ben Uri founder Lazar Berson created this design to showcase a number of the objects made by the Ben Uri studio. Although the work has always been catalogued as 'Design with Decorative Vessels', the Yiddish line at the base reads ‘A grupe fun 'ben uri’s' dekorative shafungen’, which translates as 'A group of Ben Uri decorative craftworks'. We are grateful to David Mazower for his help with this entry.
