I chose a traditional landscape format for this work which emphasises the beauty of a misty early morning. However, on the road may be seen the loosely painted figures of weary refugees. The temperature is cool, and the perspective of the road indicates that a long way remains to be travelled. The wreckage of a vehicle lies abandoned by the roadside.
