By constructing a work comprising fragments of multiple images, I hope to encourage the onlooker to discover references to diverse aspects of the refugee crisis and from these to create their own narrative. In ‘Letter’ I have included portraits, landscapes and several homages to Goya who created a series ofprints between 1810 and 1820 as a visual protest to the suffering caused by the Dos de Mayo uprising and Peninsular War.
