Sam Rabin
Darnley Fine Art
‘Sam Rabin’s demonstration drawings always went to the heart of the matter in relation to your work, so it was deeply personal. He was like a fantastic doctor with a perfect bedside manner. He would relate so well to his patient. Sam would produce a demonstration drawing for each member of class. Often there might be thirty people in the room. It might be an arm or a leg, but usually the whole figure. With classes in the morning, afternoon and evening, he could carry out ninety demonstration drawings a day!’ From the Dulwich Exhibition catalogue 1985
