Dom Sylvester Houédard
Provenance
1924, Guernsey, Channel Islands–1992, Gloucester, England
Made on an Olivetti Lettera 22, dsh’s ‘typestract’ (typewriter + abstract) poems turn the typewriter from a machine of writing into an instrument of visual expression. Through repeated dash punctuation marks, dsh constructs a shifting optical structure of intersecting planes.
