Four years ago, I created the artwork Tension, inspired by the idea of freedom and the conflict between the individual and society. The work was accompanied by movement, sound, and light, amplifying the sense of an inner scream — that of an individual trapped within a social circle. The Last Passenger is a self-critique in response to that earlier work. Unlike Tension, it is not trapped in a box. It lies on the floor of the exhibition hall, moving uncertainly and without a clear purpose, encountering obstacles and calling for help in a foreign language, Morse code. Itis trapped not by society, but by its own mind. This work reveals vulnerability, dependence, and the illusion of liberation. Freedom is different from liberation.
