Pearl Binder is best-known for her illustrations and lithographs of Jewish East End life, but this lithograph entitled 'Immigrants', although similar in style is less typical in subject matter and the setting suggests it was probably observed on her extensive travels abroad. Three generations of one family are depicted and the father's side-curls indicate that the subjects are Jewish, possibly observed on a visit to Israel.
