In 2002 Ben Uri Gallery and Morris Weidman's family helped to organise the exhibition 'Responding to the Holocaust' at Hendon Church Farmhouse Museum. Weidman created two series of paintings responding to the Holocaust entitled 'Prisoners' and 'Auschwitz' - this searing, stark image is from the latter series.
