Jane Joseph b. 1949
Jane Joseph lived and worked in West London from 1980 onwards, inspired by the urban landscape that surrounded her. She combined realism with a poetic sensibility. The nearby Westway, a three-and-a-half mile long elevated dual carriageway running from Paddington to North Kensington, recurred in her work, as ‘a fixed entity supporting constant flow'.
