Fraenkel’s head of the young Chinese architecture student, Chungsen Chou, has much in common with the work of Estonian émigrée sculptor Dora Gordine, who made a particular study of non-European models. Two further casts are known: one in stone in the Sprengel Museum, Hanover and a further bronze in the Niedersächsische Landesmuseen in Braunschweig.
