WIAC contemporary : (title tbc)

The Women’s International Art Club (WIAC) was founded in Paris in 1898 to give female artists an exhibiting platform and to encourage networking opportunities at a time of restricted opportunities in a male-dominated art establishment. The club’s inaugural exhibition, held in London’s Grafton Gallery in 1900, went on to become an annual event until the club was dissolved in 1978. The work of five former members and exhibitors of the WIAC are featured in this collection.
