Distinguished Guardian critics Jonathan Jones, Skye Sherwin and Nicholas Wroe have compiled a list of 75 ‘great artworks’ to see across the UK by region published on Saturday 18 June, 2022.
Ben Uri’s Mornington Crescent, Summer Morning II by Frank Auerbach, is listed within the London region and we are delighted and honoured for our diverse collection by Jewish, refugee and immigrant artists to be nationally recognised.
Ben Uri acquired this important painting in 2006 and we remain incredibly grateful for the generous assistance of Art Fund, MLA/V&A Purchase Grant Fund, Daniel and Paul Auerbach, Marlborough Fine Art and the artist for making this important work accessible to the public at large.
