Summer in the City
Contemporary responses
Seven of London's most exciting young artists, including Sony Award nominated artist/comedian Miriam Elia and controversial Saatchi New Sensations award-winner Sarah Maple, respond to works from the Ben Uri Collection New works range from 3D painting to visual projections to audio work and are set alongside Frank Auerbach's 2004 Mornington Crescent -- Summer Morning II and lesser-known depictions of life in London's East End by John Allin, whose colourful history -- learning to draw whilst in prison for theft and later, joining the circus -- inspires a re-worked contemporary audio history.
