The artist has commented: 'In my current practice I use translucent materials, particularly acrylic sheets, to create sculptures inspired by the natural world combined with mathematical structures. Forest Cathedral relates to walks in the woods when sudden sunlight tips through the leaves and the branches overhead suggest the form of Gothic cathedrals. At this time of ecological damage we don't just need to save forests to save our bodies, we need them to heal our souls'.
