French tailoring instructions structure a fractured collage in which Jewish family photographs appear alongside blue patches of colour. The work recalls both the thirteenth- and fifteenth-century expulsions of Jews from England and Spain, together with the blue-washed houses of their new home in Chefchaouen, Morocco, and the later histories of twentieth-century displacement. Here, the world is cut apart and re-stitched across generations and centuries.
