Shower is a work closely connected to my Jewish identity. In my artistic practice, I often return to themes related to the Holocaust, and this piece is one of such attempts to reflect on it. The image of the “shower”refers to the shower installations in concentration camps, which were used as part of the deception preceding the killing of people. Through this image, I address traumatic memory, the catastrophe of the Holocaust, and the way it continues to resonate in contemporary consciousness. In my work, themes of freedom and imprisonment are recurring. Materials such as cage structures, reinforcement steel, and grating become symbols of restriction and the absence of escape. The showercone becomes a closed form — a space without exit, where the flow becomes a metaphor for both life andloss, existing within a sealed space.
