The Last Carriage

I was born in Birmingham, England to Turkish parents. Moved 'back' to Turkey for a brief period, then to Saudi Arabia as a toddler, where we lived for a while. Then we moved back to Ankara, Turkey at age 8. I moved to Istanbul, Turkey at age 17, then to London at age 26. London has been my home for more than 15 years now, and the only city I have lived in for so long. So while you could say my life originated in the UK and I went outwards then back again, close to the origin, my personal being is a mixture of all the places I have been and all the people I have met along the way. I belong everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
