This double portrait, where once again two figures do not completely connect, was inspired by Panchal's visit to a London office building during a hot summer's day - hence the informality of the executives' clothing. The artist has caught a moment where two colleagues exist fleetingly in a complex relationship. There are hints of boundaries about to be crossed, from professional sphere to personal. The young woman holds a file in front of herself defensively. Gazes do not meet, though the young man looks sidelong at his co-worker. It is a moment of unspoken connection, frozen. This is a very different working environment from that of the young lady almost toppled by the weight of the boxes she carries in a north London warehouse.
