Artist Alice White writes of this drawing: 'We see a line of black ink traveling up along the torso of a female figure, jabbing inwards and outwards to form the chin and nose on her face, before looping up and over, falling into the curls which sit atop her head. This rapid, articulate line is energetic, but it does not lack control'.
